HIGH HOLY DAYS INFORMATION 5785
Dear Temple Family,
We are very excited to celebrate High Holy Days together as a community in our historic Temple. Streaming options on Zoom and Facebook are also available for those who wish to participate remotely.
We are excited to have a guest Cantor this year. Sandy Horowitz is a classically trained singer who received cantorial ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion, and holds a Masters in Jewish Studies. Recently retired as the cantor of Beth Am the People’s Temple in New York City, she previously served as cantor/educator at Congregation Adas Emuno in Leonia NJ.
Naomi Amos, a new member of Temple of Israel, and a professional pianist, will provide musical accompaniment. She was Director of Music for High Holy Days and special events at her former congregation, Agudath Sholom Congregation in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a retired college professor and has performed in many recitals at colleges and universities.
Once again John Sullivan will grace us with music on our historic organ throughout the high holy days.
So please join us for a spiritually enriching experience filled with prayer, reflection, and connection.
Please read through the below information to assist us with creating a safe and fulfilling High Holy Day experience for all our Temple members and guests.
